S.O.P. of COVID-19 Positive Cases
The latest standard operating procedure (S.O.P.) on COVID-19 positive cases can be found here: https://covidprotocol.moh.gov.my/en/kes-positif/
Category 1 and 2A (asymptomatic or with mild symptoms) does not need to go to the COVID-19 Assessment Centre (CAC). Quarantine at home. Report your health condition twice per day via Health Assessment Tool (HAT) on MySejahtera.
Category 2B and above, high-risk groups such as senior citizens aged 60 and above, people with comorbidities, pregnant women and those who are partially or not vaccinated are required to go to the CAC. If symptoms worsen, please go to the CAC or any health facility nearby.
Quarantine period for positive cases
- COVID-19 positive cases must quarantine for 7 days from the day they received the positive test result, regardless of vaccination status.
Test and release procedure
- COVID-19 positive cases have the option to end quarantine earlier if their supervised RTK-Ag test result on Day-4 is negative. This test can be done at the nearest health facility or virtually.
- This RTK-Ag test can also be done on Day-5 or 6 for the purpose of early release from quarantine.
- If tested positive, they must continue to quarantine until Day-7. No other test needed after completion of quarantine.
